National Mammography Day

Friday, October 18, 2019, is National Mammography Day. We are celebrating by holding a “pink day” in order to raise money and awareness. All day, we will be wearing pink shirts, tops, and accessories. Our Radiology department will be accepting $2 or more donations to support breast cancer awareness. All proceeds will go to the Janell LaCombe Fund.

Mammography Department Receives Deficiency Free Survey

On October 19, 2012, the Pointe Coupee General Mammography Department had their annual Food and Drug Administration inspection. This inspection entails a review of the previous twelve month's Quality Control and Quality Assurance departmental data. Brandi Guidroz-Werchan, Lead Mammographer/QC Technologist, and Alana Moore Smith, Staff Mammographer/QA Technologist, perform testing and complete paperwork on a daily basis in preparation for this annual inspection.
