FAQs

Does PCGH accept my insurance?

We partner with a variety of insurance providers.
To verify that your insurance is accepted at our facility, please call our Business Office at (225) 638-5780, option 2. We do not accept out of state medicaid policies. If you are not certain, please verify at the time of your registration.

How much will my tests cost?

Our pricing transparency is available to the public.
Due to several factors that may or may not be included based on your physician order or specific needs, an exact amount cannot be provided until testing is completed. To help patients plan, we offer our price transparency online.

Will I need to pay a copay for any services ahead of time?

No.
All patient responsibilities are determined by the patient's insurance and the patient will be billed.

Why am I getting multiple bills for my ER visit?

One bill is for PCGH’s facility and the other is for contracted physicians.
During an ER visit, several services may be used which may lead to multiple statements. All ER visits will have at least two charges: one facility charge and one physician charge due to the physicians being contracted through C&M Medical Services Emergency Department & Hospitalists.

Who do I contact if I received a statement/collections letter in the mail for the ER physicians at PCGH?

C&M Medical Services.
These statements are from C&M Medical Services Emergency Department & Hospitalists.

Does PCGH have a charity program for low income patients?

Yes.
Our Pointe Coupee Charity Care is offered for outpatient services (e.g., labs, X-rays, outpatient therapy, etc.) and inpatient stays. All recipients must meet certain qualifications.

How is my privacy protected?

We take your privacy very seriously.
PCGH follows all federal and state laws regarding your personal healthcare information and records. By law, your health information can only be used and shared for specific and very limited purposes not directly related to your care, such as between your doctor or health insurer. For more information, our notice of privacy practices is available.
