The Sisters of St. Joseph Medical Plaza Inaugural Anniversary
The Sisters of St. Joseph Medical Plaza at Pointe Coupee General Hospital has now been in operation for one year!
Construction of the 11,000 ft² (1,020 m²) clinic began in late 2014. It is home to five family practice physicians and a nurse practitioner who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of illnesses and medical issues.
PCGH Administrator Chad Olinde and Laboratory Manager Yvette Major Garrett announced that the new lab is providing 24 hour a day, 7 day a week lab services to meet the needs of the emergency room, as well as, patients admitted to the hospital.
The PCGH laboratory has serviced the community since the inception of the hospital in 1969. The Sisters of St. Joseph Medical Plaza is located on the campus of Pointe Coupee General Hospital at 310 Durel Drive in New Roads.
